Julian is a South African living in Shanghai with his wife Ena. He is passionate about understanding how the rise of an economic giant can be leveraged to benefit an African agenda. His Mandarin is better than his Zulu and Afrikaans combined. Julian is the Shanghai Manager of the largest China-Africa Business Solutions company. He has published articles in the Boston Globe, Mail and Guardian, China Mining Journal, African Analyst Quarterly and the China Analyst. On occasion, he has been known to run the Great Wall Marathon draped in a South African flag.
